Below is a quick run through of the most common questions we get from our guests between booking and arrival, we hope you find it useful. And look forward to have you stay with us.

Access to your apartment:
Entry is officially 2pm. We do try to have the apartment ready for you sooner than this, particularly if arrived on the ferry, however check out is 10am, so we can only begin to prepare your apartment on departure of the previous guests. It may be useful to know that there is a Left Luggage facility at the Northlink Ferry terminal.
We like to meet all our first-time visitors, to ensure everything is in order for you, and so that you know how things work, and where to find them. Any subsequent visits, we usually leave the door open for you, and let you know when the apartment is ready for you.
For this reason, it is very helpful if we all have correct contact numbers while you are travelling, so that we make arrangements to meet you. On occasion if we are unable to meet you personally, we shall still be in direct contact with you, until you are safely in the door, and ensure that everything is as it should be for you.
In your apartment for your arrival we have:
Towels, dish towels, hair drier. A cafetiere, salt, pepper, tea, coffee and sugar. A kitchen roll and loo rolls. Shetland soap company soaps, bin bags, dishwasher tablets and dishwashing liquid. There are also full laundry facilities within your apartment.
Wifi is complimentary.
While you are here:
Food and provisions - For local foods, there are 2 main butcher shops supplying local and Scottish meats and 3 fish shops. Scoop sells locally grown veg, local eggs, and local artisan breads, as well as an amazing array of whole food products and other interesting delicacies. Shetland is well provided for those with Gluten and other allergies, either in our shops, cafes, restaurants and even the Sunday Teas! We have a Tescos and and Co-op in Lerwick, the both shut at 11.00pm every night! Tescos also do ‘Click and Collect’.
There are many places to eat, and we find that for the best update you should visit Trip Advisor as this gives you the up to the minute Where : When : What : and contact details.

Time to go:
Departure is BY 10.00 am. We have to maintain this time, so that we can make the apartment ready for the next guests. If this is too early for you to breakfast, pack and clear up, then we can suggest packing and clearing up, then go on to Fjara, Peerie Shop Café or Shetland Hotel for a leisurely and delicious breakfast. Unless of course you still wish to cram in some last minute exploring, shopping or sight seeing.
We ask that the apartment be left pretty much as you received it. There is full info in our Guest Information Book, left on the table for you on arrival. This will explain everything you should need to know about the apartment.
Come back for more - We hope you enjoy your stay with us, and indeed decide to come back again. For our returning guests, booking directly with us, we offer a 10% discount on accommodation if you come back within 3 years of your last visit, and are staying for 2 or more nights. This can be applied when you make your booking.
Cancellation - In the event you find you need to cancel your booking, we require this to be confirmed by email. We shall endeavor to re-sell your cancelled nights. The deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. The balance (if already paid), is refundable on re-sold nights, less a 10% admin fee. (80% of nightly cost less 10% admin fee = 70% refunded, per re-sold night).
