From the ferry terminal
- Turn right out of the ferry terminal.
- Turn 1st left at the mini-roundabout, taking you onto Ladies Drive.
- Follow the main road past the houses and past the national speed limit applies sign.
- Follow the road around 3 bends.
- The Decca is a large cream building on your right, with a cream wooden fence surrounding the property.
- Private parking within garden grounds.
From the airport
- From the airport follow the A970 towards Lerwick
- After around 22 miles (30 mins approx) you will see a sign for Hillswick, North, Scalloway & Burra (B9073), followed by a 50 mile per hour sign.
- Almost immediately after the 50 mile per hour sign, take the next LEFT onto the B9073, signed North, Scalloway & Burra
- After 1.5 miles, turn RIGHT at the T-junction onto the A970, signed Hillswick, North Isles, Sullom Voe, Walls & Lerwick
- After 1.5 miles, turn RIGHT at the T-junction onto the A970, signed Lerwick
- After 1 mile, turn RIGHT into Ladies Drive, signed Shetland Agricultural Centre & Staney Hill Industrial Estate
- After ½ a mile, The Decca (large, cream building with a cream wooden fence surrounding it) is on your left
- Ignore the first small road on the left (at the Self Catering Shetland sign)
- The car park is the next junction on your LEFT, directly opposite the Lerwick Brewery

From the ferry terminal
- Turn left out of the ferry terminal on the A970.
- Go straight through 2 mini-roundabouts.
- Take the third junction on the right.
- 63 Burgh road is the 2nd door on the left. Chipped garden – ‘63’ is on the door. Directly opposite the car park entrance.
- FREE Parking on the street outside the apartment or in the carpark across the road.
From the Viking bus station
- Turn left out of the bus station.
- Follow the road along until you come to a traffic island.
- Cross over towards the grocer shop and chemist.
- Follow the pavement around to the left, taking you into Burgh Road.
- 63 Burgh road is the 2nd door on the left. Chipped garden – ‘63’ is on the door. Directly opposite a car park entrance.
- FREE Parking on the street outside the apartment or in the carpark across the road.
From the airport
- From the airport follow the A970 to Lerwick.
- Drive straight on at the two roundabouts.
- Follow the road into Lerwick.
- Pass a Pelican crossing.
- Take the 3rd road on the left into Burgh Road.
- Drive along to the other end of Burgh Road.
- No. 63 is the 2nd last door on the right. Chipped garden – ‘63’ is on the door. Directly opposite a car park entrance.

Getting to Shetland
Shetland is positioned in the heart of the North Atlantic and is easily accessible by air and sea from the UK mainland, Orkney, and Norway.
Travelling to Shetland by Air
From 01.09.17 Loganair operate the flights and bookings.
It takes up to 1 hour 40 mins to fly to Shetland, depending on which Scottish airport you are flying from.
Direct flights from Norway
Flybe also offer flights from Bergen once a week, this year on a Saturday (from the end of May until the end of August).
Bergen Air also offer flights on Mondays and Thursdays, all year round.
Travelling to Shetland By Sea
Northlink Ferries sail daily from Aberdeen and Lerwick. The trip takes 12 - 14 hours dependant on whether it is a direct sailing, or via Orkney. Visitors can relax during the overnight journey before arriving in Shetland fully refreshed. Visit the North Link Ferries website for timetables and details.
How to get around Shetland


Car hire, or your own car offers the best flexibility of movement. A car is recommended if you are staying at The Decca, especially between September April. Our local car hire companies offer a good range of vehicles and prices to suit all pockets.

Taxis between the town centre and The Decca are currenty around £7 per trip. Taxis between the airport and our apartments are around £50 per trip.
