Welcome to our properties section. Here you will find information about our properties, which are in two different locations in Shetland’s capital Lerwick.

We have named our properties using the Shetland dialect terms for birds. Each is furnished to the same high standard, but has been individually decorated with references to Shetland’s natural heritage.

Locations

Our properties are situated in two locations in Lerwick and they offer very different experiences to our guests:

Corbie – “at the heart of historic Lerwick”

Corbie (63 Burgh Road), is the ground floor flat, which has its own front and back entrance. It was built at the turn of the last century, then considered to be at the edge of the town (borough/burgh). It couldn’t be more central and is now in the heart of Lerwick. It has wonderful character and charm and is the perfect location for exploring Lerwick and Shetland.

The Decca – “an out of town experience in town”

The Decca (Ladies Drive) is situated on the outskirts of Lerwick and is five minutes drive from the middle of town. Here we have 5 properties, providing excellent self catering accommodation, a 12 space car park and a large garden surrounding the building.

Originally the Decca was accommodation for Shetland’s Radio Navigational Signal Station and its operators. The building had been standing empty for about 10 years before we bought it in 2003. By 2005 we had refurbished the two houses and converted the ground floor of the workshop area into three two bedroomed flats, ready for a new chapter in the building’s life.

Properties Information

KEY FEATURES AT Self-Catering Shetland Properties…

There is no minimum stay, you can stay for one night, or one hundred nights!
When you are staying longer than 14 days we come along and change the bed linen and towels.
Check in Time: from 14.00 hrs on day of arrival.
Check out Time: by 10.00 hrs on day of departure.
We are happy to collect you from the Lerwick Ferry Terminal or the Viking Bus Station and take you to your accommodation.
All properties are non-smoking
