Shetland is positioned in the heart of the North Atlantic and is easily accessible by air and sea from the UK mainland, Orkney, Scandanavia, Faeroe and Iceland.

Travelling to Shetland by Air

Loganair offer flights from Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness, Orkney and Edinburgh, which are operated by Flybe. This is the quickest way to get to Shetland from the U.K. mainland. Visit the Flybe or Loganair websites for more information.

Direct flights from Norway

Flybe also offer flights from Bergen three times a week (Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) from the end of May until the end of August.

Travelling to Shetland By Sea

The specially commissioned Northlink Ferries sail daily from Aberdeen and four times a week from Orkney. Visitors can relax during the overnight journey before arriving in Shetland fully refreshed. Visit the North Link Ferries website.
