From the ferry terminal (3-5 minute drive)

  • Turn LEFT out of the ferry terminal on the A970.
  • Go straight through 2 mini-roundabouts.
  • Take the third junction on the RIGHT.
  • 63 Burgh road is the 2nd (green) door on the LEFT. Stone-chipped garden, ‘63’ is on the door. Directly opposite the car park entrance.
  • FREE Parking on the street outside the apartment or in the carpark across the road.

From the Viking bus station (10-15 minute walk)

  • Turn LEFT out of the bus station.
  • Follow the road along until you come to a traffic island.
  • Cross over towards the grocer shop and chemist.
  • Follow the pavement around to the LEFT, taking you into Burgh Road.
  • 63 Burgh road is the 2nd door (green) on the LEFT. Stone-chipped garden, ‘63’ is on the door. Directly opposite a car park entrance.
  • FREE Parking on the street outside the apartment or in the carpark across the road.

From the airport (40-50 minute drive)

  • From the airport follow the A970 to Lerwick.
  • Drive straight on at the two roundabouts. (Tesco is on right at 2nd roundabout).
  • Follow the road into Lerwick.
  • Pass a Pelican crossing (outside the Health Centre)
  • Take the 3rd road on the LEFT into Burgh Road.
  • Drive along to the far end of Burgh Road.
  • No. 63 is the 2nd last door (green) on the RIGHT. Stone-chipped garden, ‘63’ is on the door. Directly opposite a car park entrance.
  • FREE Parking on the street outside the apartment or in the carpark across the road.

From Toft (North Isles ferry terminal - around 30 minutes)

  • Follow the signs to Lerwick
  • Once you enter Lerwick, take the 1st exit at the first mini-roundabout (just past the power station)
  • Take the 2nd exit and the second mini-roundabour (just past the Co-op supermarket)
  • Go straight across the third mini-roundabout
  • Then take the third junction on the RIGHT into Burgh Road
  • Corbie (63 Burgh Road) is the 2nd door on the LEFT (painted green)

Getting to Shetland

Shetland is positioned in the heart of the North Atlantic and is easily accessible by air and sea from the UK mainland, Orkney, and Norway.

Travelling to Shetland by Air

Loganair operate the flights and bookings. It takes up to 1 hour 40 mins to fly to Shetland, depending on which Scottish airport you are flying from.

Travelling to Shetland By Sea

Northlink Ferries sail daily from Aberdeen and Lerwick. The trip takes 12 - 14 hours dependant on whether it is a direct sailing, or via Orkney. Visitors can relax during the overnight journey before arriving in Shetland fully refreshed. Visit the North Link Ferries website for timetables and details.

How to get around Shetland

Car hire, or your own car offers the best flexibility of movement. A car is recommended if you are staying at The Decca, especially between September and April. Our local car hire companies offer a good range of vehicles and prices to suit all pockets.

Taxis between the airport and Corbie are around £65 each way.
